Cavalieri & Amoretti expands capacity with Parma plant
Italian luxury boxes and cases manufacturer Cavalieri & Amoretti is building a new 4,000m² manufacturing facility near the northern city of Parma as part of a bid to improve efficiency and expand into new markets. The plant should be operational by the end of the year. “We are currently renting two different sites, [and] the new plant will be bigger and more convenient,” Sara Cavalieri, in charge of administration and sales for the company, tells CosmeticNews. She adds that the plant will host a new machine that can wrap flat-top cylindrical boxes automatically—such boxes are generally wrapped by hand or semi-automatically. The machine was developed by Italian company Emmeci, and should be delivered in September. The new plant and equipment represents a total investment of €4m, the company said.

In other news, Cavalieri & Amoretti recently opened a sales office in the suburbs of Paris, France. “We already work with brands such as Dior or YSL, for whom we are producing cylindrical boxes, but we expect to increase our sales volume in the French market,” Cavalieri explains. The office is headed by Rodolphe Benouville, who previously served as sales director for folding boxes manufacturer Nortier Emballages. Cavalieri & Amoretti registered turnover of €6m in 2008."
